Join us this fall for Identity, the first course in our Discipleship @ Work series. Over six weeks, you’ll explore your identity in Christ, break old patterns, discover your gifts, and learn to live with greater purpose and impact in the workplace.

  • Identity is the first course in our Discipleship @ Work series. Over six weeks, you’ll explore your identity in Christ, discover your gifts, break old patterns, and learn to live with greater purpose in the workplace. It’s an interactive, no-pressure time designed to help you meet with the Holy Spirit, grow alongside others, and deepen your faith in a welcoming environment. 

  • The course will be led by Roxanne Crosby, co-author of the D@W Curriculum, who brings a wealth of experience in ministry, leadership, and faith/work integration. Roxanne is passionate about helping people live out their calling in every area of life. She’ll guide you through each week’s discussion and activities. 

  • We’ll meet in the large conference room at our 2550 Gaskins Rd office. Healthy snacks and refreshments are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own dinner if you’d like. 

  • This is meant to be a restorative and uplifting time, with room for honest reflection and gentle challenge. There’s no homework or outside assignments, and everything is designed to help you engage with God and others at your own pace. Faith grows best when it’s lived in community, so each session includes time to connect with others, share experiences, and learn and pray together. Expect deep conversation, prayer, and encouragement in a comfortable setting.

  • The course fee of $275 includes the Discipleship @ Work book, handbook, teaching, and refreshments. 

    You’ll receive all course materials at the first session — no advance prep required. However, if you’d like to look through the Discipleship @ Work book beforehand, we have copies at our office you can pick up in advance. 

  • You can go through this material multiple times and grow in different areas each time as the Holy Spirit prompts. We highly recommend this course for any volunteer leaders as well as anyone in the NEM community wanting to develop their faith and work muscles! We’d love to have you this fall!

  • If you want to grow in Christ, connect with others, and gain a fresh vision for your work this course is for you. Every session will be bathed in prayer, centered on Scripture, and designed to help you live and lead with purpose.

About the Facilitator

Roxanne Crosby is a retired senior Human Resources and Business executive with 28 years in significant corporate leadership positions. Since retirement in 2007, Roxanne has been following God’s path and invests her time and talents as He directs. She currently volunteers at Needle’s Eye Ministries as Director of Strategy, helping the organization to grow and support the kingdom realities of the believer in the Richmond marketplace. With a strong passion for and experience with discipleship, she recently co-authored Discipleship @ Work, which is the foundation for the Identity course being offered in September.

We want to empower you to make the difference that only you, with your unique and God-given influence & resources can make. You are moving the work of your hands from SCARCITY & CONTROL (what can I do?) to ABUNDANCE & FREEDOM (what can God do through me?)

Our desire is to help you move in your sense of purpose at work (how you make decisions, both moment-by-moment and the big picture of your career) by changing from a heart posture of ME & MINE to full alignment with HIM & HIS KINGDOM.

At Needle’s Eye we want to help you confidently live out the truth that you are WHOLLY (and holy!) HIS. We must move in our God-given identity from being SAVED, but still living in the old self, to living and working with a completely renewed mind.

A 12-Session Journey by Needle’s Eye Ministries

Discipleship @ Work is a 12-session spiritual formation process that will help you more fully integrate your faith into your work.  Designed for a group and packed with discussion questions, journal reflections, and practical tools, Discipleship @ Work will help you experience new depth of relationship with God, uproot core identity issues that keep you from experiencing His love and power, and equip you to join Him in working toward the restoration of all things under His Lordship, starting with your workplace.
