WHO WE ARE:
Needle’s Eye is a Christian faith-at-work community serving professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders throughout Richmond, Virginia.
Our ministry is built around three intentional pathways: Connect. Belong. Transform.
WHAT WE BELIEVE:
Monday Matters to God. Most of us walk into work carrying three quiet burdens: fear of what could go wrong, pressure to prove who we are, and a nagging doubt that any of it really matters. God speaks to all three.
CONNECT:
You don’t work alone. If we're honest, many of us feel more disconnected than ever. Layoffs, performance reviews, a shifting economy, and uncertainty about AI leave us anxious about the future. It's easy to feel like we're on an island, believing no one understands what we carry. Maybe you wonder whether God is real, or whether He cares about anything beyond Sunday.
God answers fear with presence. His most repeated command is "Do not fear," and it almost always comes with a reason: I am with you (Isaiah 41:10). The God who promised "I will never leave you" (Hebrews 13:5) is with you in the meeting, the job search, and the hard conversation with your boss.
At Needle's Eye, we know fear grows in isolation. God created us for relationship, so in a world that is digital first, we choose to be human first. We meet you where you are, with genuine relationship before any agenda.
Fear says, "You're on your own."
God says, "I am with you."
We say, “Come and connect.”
BELONG:
You are not your job title. Culture tells us identity is fluid and sends us on an exhausting search to find it. At work, the first question is "What do you do?" and we quietly hear, "Who are you?" When identity rests on title, salary, or performance, success brings pride, failure brings shame, and losing a job feels like losing yourself.
But your identity isn't achieved; it's given. God made you in His image (Genesis 1:27) and calls you His own (1 John 3:1). You don't have to have it all together to belong. In Christ, your identity is settled before you ever clock in. You work from acceptance, not for it.
The world asks, "What do you do?"
God says, "I know who you are."
We say, “You belong here.”
TRANSFORM:
The world sends us chasing purpose. God says it's already built into your design: you are His workmanship, created for good works He prepared in advance (Ephesians 2:10). Your work matters to God.
Work was God's idea before it was ever a burden. He placed Adam in the garden to work it and keep it before sin entered (Genesis 2:15). Whether you're coding or caregiving, teaching or trucking, your work can reflect His character. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord (Colossians 3:23).
In Christ, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), renewed as your mind is shaped by God's Word (Romans 12:2). That change shows up in how you work, with integrity, excellence, and care for people, and why you work: to serve others and seek the good of your city (Jeremiah 29:7). And transformed people turn outward to connect with others.
Culture says, "It's just a job."
God says, "It's part of your calling."
We say, “Help us transform the marketplace.”
THE FOUNDATION:
Jesus ended the Sermon on the Mount with two builders and two houses (Matthew 7:24–27). The same storm hit both. Only the foundation decided what stood.
Your career will face storms: a layoff, a failure, a promotion that leaves you empty. Built on title or performance, it cracks. Built on who God says you are and what He made you for, it holds.
Not alone. Not lost. Not without purpose.
