Creatives Core Values
Creative work is more than talent and technique. It’s a calling to create honestly, honor others’ gifts, and put people before applause. We’re guided by the conviction that how we create matters as much as what we produce.
Our core values aren’t just principles we admire. They’re commitments we live out. Rooted in a faith that calls us to honesty, stewardship, and service, they guide how we approach every project, every collaboration, every day.

Culture Making: Recovering Our Creative Calling by Andy Crouch
The only way to change culture is to create culture.
Most of the time, we just consume or copy culture. But that is not enough. We must also do more than condemn or critique it. The only way to change it is to create it.
For too long, Christians have had an insufficient view of culture and have waged misguided "culture wars." But Andy Crouch says we must reclaim the cultural mandate to be the creative cultivators God designed us to be. Culture is what we make of the world, both in making cultural artifacts as well as in making sense of the world around us.
In this expanded edition of his award-winning book Crouch unpacks the complexities of how culture works, the dynamics of cultural change, and tools for cultivating culture. Keen biblical exposition demonstrates that creating culture is central to the whole scriptural narrative, the ministry of Jesus, and the call to the church. With a conversation between Crouch and Tish Harrison Warren as the new afterword, this expanded edition addresses the current landscape and forges a way for the future of culture making. Enter into it with guided questions for reflection and discussion for a deeper experience.
Into the Room: by Steve Rogers
Steve is the head of our local Creatives Community and we wanted to spotlight his work.
Can a journey across the Holy Land redeem a reluctant pilgrim? Ben Cahill’s life is an alcohol-saturated mess. After an insincere effort in a rehab facility, he is alienated from his family, out of work, and determined to continue his habit. To make matters worse, he finds himself on a tour of Israel, along with, as he calls them, a bunch of Holy Rollers.
As the trip progresses, Ben experiences the Holy Land’s major historical sites and is exposed to God’s word. He interacts with his fellow travelers, gradually learning about their faith and their lives. Along the way, Ben becomes embroiled in a spiritual war, reinforcing his guilt and, in turn, forcing him to recall his past actions and behaviors. He also begins a different journey, one that leads him to redemption and a place in God’s family.
Spark: Ignite your God-Given Creativity by Al Gordon
Creativity is your birthright, the rich spiritual inheritance of your soul. Understanding this—and what to do with it today—is the birthplace of personal and communal transformation.
When's the last time you encountered such a message? That your creativity is not only built into your very identity, an indispensable part of who you are, but necessary.
In an age of AI hype, burnout, and relentless comparison, our creative fire is constantly under attack. We second-guess ourselves. We procrastinate. We shrink back. And the tragedy is, we begin to believe the lie that creativity is for the few—not for us.
