State of the Ministry 2025: Our Team

Why I’m thrilled that Leanne Lytle has joined our team as Director of Ministry

Faithful Christian leaders need firm theology and a soft heart…and Leanne has both.

Leanne has the unique and necessary combination of knowing when to speak truth using grace and kindness and when truth-telling requires being more direct and challenging.  Her commitment to submitting to God’s Will and Word and her love for people are immediately apparent.  Having come from a career in secular workspaces, she is eager to help others see their work as worship and help them grow in Christ and be witnesses at work.  She has an associate’s degree in Biblical Studies (in addition to a Bachelor’s in Counseling and a Master’s from Vanderbilt in Child Studies) and a strong theological foundation.

Leanne has the professional skills and experience to greatly aid NEM’s focus on equipping disciples and training disciple-makers.

Leanne has years of experience in volunteer leadership development and in building transformational communities.  Throughout her career, she has worked with many kinds of people and has a deep understanding of how people think and how to help them change and grow.  Just as important, she is committed to discerning how God wants them to grow and what His Spirit is doing in their lives.

Leanne is a wonderful team fit

We’ve been intentional about hiring men and women who are not only completely committed to Christ (by far the most important criterion for every position), not only skilled and competent in their work, but also humble, thoughtful, collaborative, and fun.  The work we do and the mission we have are serious…but we try not to take ourselves too seriously as we do it.  Our entire team is so excited to have Leanne on-board, and she is already bringing energy, insight, strategy and creativity to the ministry, as well as laughter, kindness, and humility.

For the glory of God and the blessing of His people throughout metro Richmond,
