Spotlight on Cathy Tankersley: Cathy Tankersley originally comes from the blue collar town of Granite City, Illinois. Recruited by Signet Bank, she made a career move to Richmond in 1989. In 2004 she stepped out in faith and started a small group. Years later she acknowledges it was the best decision of her life. Small group ministry has provided her with her deepest friendships, countless wonderful memories, timely lessons, and a deeper walk with the Lord. One of her favorite scriptures is Hebrews 10:24-25: And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
