Based on Bob Buford’s book Half Time, Second Half helps retired or soon-to-be-retired persons in their transition from “success” to “significance”. Many of us have fully or partially retired from our lifelong careers or professions, and we are finding that we have the time and freedom to take our lives in new directions. We emphasize in our small group that God does have a plan for each of us that matches up with our gifts, talents, and passions. We encourage each other to seek out this plan. We are men who represent many different Christian denominations, and this small group fellowship is meant to come alongside and support the ministry we receive in our own churches.
Our meeting usually follows this form:
- Large Group
- Opening Prayer
- Break into Small Groups for Discussion of Material
